Make an appointment with the controller or chief financial officer of the organization you have identified. In the meeting, find out the answers to the following questions:

1.      How are the overall budget goals set?

2.      What is the process used to build the budget? Who does it? How much input do operating managers have in the process? How long does it take to build the budget?
