About the Authors



Dr. Penny Dick
Penny Dick is a lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Sheffield University Management School. She is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a wide array of industrial experience. Her research interests and publications are in the management of diversity and organisational stress, particularly in emergency service settings.

Steve Ellis
Steve Ellis works as an international management developer and organisational development consultant. He has also published in the areas of Flexible Working Practices and Employee Empowerment. Steve was previously a Principal Lecturer at Luton Business School, where he headed up Post-Graduate Management Development and taught Organisational Behaviour on MBA and other Masters Programmes. Whilst at Luton, he became the first person to be awarded the degree of Master of Philosophy by the Faculty of Management, he also holds an MBA from Henley Management College. Steve is currently completing doctoral research into Strategic Knowledge Management within the Financial Services Sector.
