The Apple website has a section on the design of the user experience. Within this, you will find links to the Apple Human Interface Guidelines. Microsoft has a section of its MSDN (Microsoft Developers' Network) site devoted to user interface design.

Health and Safety

Around the world a number of countries have information on government agency websites about health and safety and workstation ergonomics.

• USA - The US Department of Labour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) website has information specifically on computer workstations. (Sobre OSHA en Español.)
• Canada - There is a site with links to occupational health and safety information for the federal government and state governments at CanOSHWeb. (CanOSHWeb en français.)
• Australia - In Australia, the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission maintains its Worksafe site.
• UK - The Health and Safety Executive is the agency in the UK charged with dealing with occupational health and safety. A guidance leaflet on Working with VDUs is available on the website.
• Europe - The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work website provides information in the languages of the European Union.
• Hong-Kong - In Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Association is a not for profit organization with useful links, including the Occupational Safety and Health Council.
• Asia Pacific - The Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization is an association of national groups around the Asia Pacific region.

The Apple website has a section on accessibility for users with disabilities. Microsoft also has a section on accessibility.

The University of Toronto hosts a website of resources on accessibility for Linux.
