In response to interest in the large magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunamis that devastated the Indian Ocean basin on 26 December 2004, McGraw-Hill Higher Education has prepared content accessible from the Student Center of this website.
In addition, instructors may download a Power Point presentation and two animations to accompany the OLC content related to the events of 26 December 2004. To download the Power Point presentation and two animations to your local hard drive, right click on the link below and choose "Save As".

Once you have downloaded the zipped file above, locate it on your local computer and EXTRACT ALL FILES from the zipped file.
When you run the extracted Power Point presentation the first time, a dialogue box will appear on the slides containing the animation. This dialogue directs you to "Locate Video Clip" on your computer.
Navigate to the appropriate animation file, then choose "Open". The animation should run automatically following a brief delay.
Save this Power Point file before closing it to preserve the path to the animation files. If you close the Power Point file without saving changes, you will be required to navigate to the animation files again when run the presentation the next time.
