1. | The Asians Dying, Separation, and When You Go Away When making critical judgments of poems, examine the structure, language, theme, images, and other elements of poetry. Make a list of literary elements, such as rhyme, rhythm, figures of speech, mood, and imagery, to use as a basis for evaluating and judging a poem. Choose three or four elements and use them to judge the three poems in this collection. Write a two- to three-paragraph critical analysis in which you discuss the three poems. Provide specific examples from each poem to support your critical judgments. Also write a sentence or two identifying which poem affected you the most and what elements contributed to its effectiveness. |
