Cushman Communications

Now that Zach, the public relations coordinator for Cushman Communications, is becoming more comfortable with using PowerPoint, he has decided to get some more practice. He has received a file from a client who wants him to review it and make some additions. In the following case problems, you assume the role of Zach and perform the same steps he identifies. You may want to reread the chapter-opening page before proceeding.

  1. Zach opens the PowerPoint presentation entitled PP01XTRA02 and then saves it as "Just A Hobby" to his personal storage location. At this point, his screen looks like Figure 1.6. Zach views each of the slides in the presentation in order to familiarize himself with the project. He saves it to his personal storage location as "Just A Hobby."

  3. Zach has been instructed to add his company’s information to the presentation. On slide 3, he adds Cushman Communications to the list of corporate partners. On slide 5, he uses the Outline tab to add the following text:
    • Cushman Communications
      • Zach Reynolds
  4. He then saves the presentation.

  5. Zach decides to get more practice with PowerPoint’s design templates. He saves the file as "My Just A Hobby." He applies the "Network" design template. He then reviews the slides to see how they look. He notices that the title of slide 2 doesn’t align well with the text, so he changes the alignment of the title to center. He saves and then closes the presentation.
