Adding Tables, Animation, and More
Case ProblemsMarketBeat Investments Richard wants to get more practice with animations and slide
transitions. He also plans to edit the Slide Master. In the
following case problems, assume the role of Richard and perform
the same steps that he identifies. You may want to reread the
chapter opening before proceeding. - Richard opens the pp04xtra05.ppt presentation and saves
it as "Kiosk" in his personal storage location. He first
applies the Radial design template. He decides that he would
rather have a different color scheme, so he chooses the color
scheme shown in Figure 4.6. He then saves the presentation
and leaves it open for the next exercise.

- Richard applies the "Descend" animation scheme to every
slide in his presentation. He also applies the "Wheel
Clockwise ? 1 Spoke" transition to the entire
presentation. He saves the presentation as "Kiosk ?
revision" to his personal storage location and leaves it open
for use in the next exercise. Before proceeding, he views his
slide show to see the new effects in action.
- Richard wants the MarketBeat theme song to play during
the title slide. He downloads pp04xtra06.mid and saves it in
his personal storage location. He then navigates to the first
slide and inserts the sound. (
Hint:
Choose Insert, Movies and Sounds, Sound From File.) He
chooses to have it play automatically when the subtitle
animation finishes. He then saves the presentation as "Kiosk
with music" to his personal storage location. He reviews the
presentation in Slide Show view and then closes
PowerPoint.
