Think about personal experiences you have had in your life that required considerable planning. Divide these experiences into two categories: experiences that were well planned and experiences that were not well planned. What did the well-planned experiences have in common? What did the poorly planned experiences have in common? What were the consequences, if any, of good planning? Of poor planning?
How do you think your own attitudes toward planning might influence your teaching and the planning required of teachers?
