1. Having read the chapter on research methods, Caroline thinks it would be fun and rewarding to participate in a research study. However, she wants to be sure that it's a study that will, in some way, provide useful information to help make the world a better place. Where's a good place for her to find studies like these in which she can participate?

2. Phil is afraid that all the studies he'll be reading about this semester are totally theoretical and have no meaning for his life. He'll change his mind when he learns about a wonderful site sponsored by the American Psychological Association that summarizes a whole array of interesting studies with practical application, many of which may actually pertain to his own interests and experiences. That site is called "Psychology Matters." It can be found at:

3. Farida had no idea her first day in psychology class that researchers must follow ethical guidelines when working with both human and nonhuman research participants. She wants to learn more about this and learn more about the ethical guidelines that therapists must follow when working with clients. She can find these guidelines at:

4. After lecturing on research methods and ethics, Professor Ramirez instructed her students to write a research paper. She gave them written and oral warnings about plagiarism and Gustavo wants to be sure he does not make the serious error of plagiarizing the work of others, especially because Professor Ramirez was clear that she would fail any students who did so. Gustavo learns that Professor Ted Frick of Indiana University has created a tutorial on "How to Recognize Plagiarism" that is available to students on the Internet. Appreciatively, he goes to the site and learns what plagiarism is and how to avoid it.
