| Thanks to the power of the Internet, you can take a trip to a far-flung corner of the world without ever leaving your chair. The purpose of this exercise is to enhance your cross- cultural awareness by using the Internet to learn about a foreign country of your choice. Divide the class into small groups (5 to 8 students) and choose one country per group. Questions 1 Look for information on that country on the Internet. 2 Take five topics from intercultural differences (time, uncertainty avoidance, high- context) and explain to what degree they do or do not count for that country. 3 Shortly describe whether your group members would like to work in that country and why or why not. |
