Careers in E-Commerce E-Résumé

Today’s employers and job seekers are realizing that an e-résumé just may be the trend of the future. E-résumés can be read from a computer, have keywords that are searchable, and are easy to save into a database for access at a later time.

Using the Internet, conduct research on how to create an e-résumé. Look for information regarding:

  • Keywords on the résumé
  • Spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Preparing your résumé for posting
  • How to e-mail your résumé

Also check BusinessWeek.com for any information on how electronic résumés are being received in the working world. Then, imagine that you are applying for an entry-level position as a web page designer for a small business that sells custom greeting cards over the Internet around the world. Using the information you learned about résumé writing in Chapter 5 and from research you conduct online, create an e-résumé.
