- You need to understand yourself to choose a career because you need to know your values, interests, skills, and talents in order to decide what kind of work you would enjoy and do well.
- There are two types of skills. Job-specific skills are skills that allow you to do a specific job task. Transferable skills are skills that you can use in many jobs and situations.
