Introduction

Students have read about improvisation. In this lesson, they will learn about an improvisational theater troupe in the San Francisco area. They will also learn about a competitive form of improvisation called Theatresports™.

Lesson Description

Students will examine the Web site of BATS Improv, an improvisational theater troupe, and will answer four questions about the troupe and about Theatresports, a form of improvisation.

Instructional Objectives

  1. Students will be able to navigate a Web site and discern important information from its content.
  2. Students will be able to learn more about different forms of improvisation and how these forms are used in the world outside the classroom.

  1. BATS members give workshops for people with life-threatening illnesses.
