C. Stephen Layman


About the Author

C. Stephen Layman is chair of the philosophy department at Seattle Pacific University. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Calvin College and the Ph.D. in philosophy from UCLA, after which he was awarded a Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship and a Notre Dame Post-Doctoral Fellowship. His publications include The Shape of the Good (University of Notre Dame Press, 1991) and various articles in philosophical journals. He has taught courses in logic at UCLA, Reed College, and Seattle Pacific University.
