Brainstorming Poll: "How Could Technology Make Our Lives Better in the Next 100 Years?"

Instructions: Chapter Thirteen tells us that groups who embrace a cooperative environment do best when generating creative ideas. In the form below, enter your suggestions for how you think technology could improve our lives in the next 100 years.

Your suggestion might be a prediction, such as "all recorded music will be available to anyone, through any device that picks up a digital signal, simply by using one's voice to request it." It might be a wish, such as "All vaccinations will be made painless by a device that enables the serum to be absorbed through the skin rather than by penetrating it." Your idea might be wild, silly, or outlandish. The rules for brainstorming clearly encourage this, so let your imagination run wild.

Rothwell Message Board.

In summary: The creative process in groups is greatly facilitated by keeping the atmosphere fun and friendly. Also, when a deadline is flexible, it gives people a chance to reflect on things before adding their own suggestions. This exercise may be something that you find yourself returning to after you've mulled over some of the other ideas you've seen. Maybe some of them inspired you. That's the whole idea. By offering groups a challenging idea, encouraging their imaginations to run wild, and by keeping criticism out of the picture, you can generate a list of amazing ideas. Maybe you will even see into the future!
