Friday, March 14

Well, what a day! Today's a holiday, so there aren't any classes at the university. I want to go outside and play some basketball with my friends, but I can't! It's raining, and it's getting very cold. I'm disappointed, but what can I do? My roommate is watching TV in the living room, and my girlfriend is shopping at the mall with her friends. I can't call my parents because they're traveling in Europe. My sister is in town, but she's working at the bookstore this afternoon.

There are several activities today on campus. The drama club is meeting right now. They have a play next month, and they're practicing today. I'm acting in the play, but I don't want to drive, so I'm not going to the meeting. There's an international student party at the Student Center right now, too. They're serving a lot of food from all over the world. I'm getting hungry, so maybe I'll go to that. But for now, I'm sitting in my room, watching the rain, and thinking about the day. No basketball for me today! Oh well! There's always summer vacation, right?
