Dear Erika,

Hello! How are you? What are you doing?

Well, I'm in Paris for business. I have some extra time before my next meeting this afternoon, so right now I'm just sitting in a park. I'm watching all the people. They are doing so many things! It's interesting to watch them. I'm learning so much about the people here. Some people are wearing business clothes and running through the park. They look very worried and tired. Other people are sitting on benches, reading books and newspapers. They look relaxed. Some people are wearing athletic clothes. They're running and walking on sidewalks. There are some older people, too. One woman is carrying her groceries home. An older man is walking his little dog.

The younger people are usually walking with friends. There are a few children, but they aren't playing on the playground. They're walking with their parents. Maybe they're going to school or something. I don't know! But I do know you can learn a lot just by watching the world go by!
