Activity 1: How to Surf the Web (Process)

Directions: Write a brief process essay that informs a particular reader how to "surf the web." For instance, you might tell film buffs how to find out about their favorite directors, students where to find help in one or more of the courses, or budding astronomers where to find help online. Be sure to imagine a specific audience with specific interests and take them through the intimidating process of surfing the web step by step.

Directions: Write an informal process essay on one of the following topics:

  • How to get into college
  • How to sneak into the movies
  • How to break up with someone
  • How to buy a car
  • How to use the mall
