You are considering opening a child care center after you complete your education and get the appropriate degrees and certifications. Your center will accept children who have been potty-trained, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children in the primary grades (for after-school care). You anticipate opening in an ethnically, culturally, and/or racially diverse area, and expect that the parents of these children will come from diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. You want to incorporate the parents as partners to provide an optimal developmental context for the children.
