  2. What are students doing to help them learn science?
  3. What is the teacher doing to help students learn science?
  4. Who is responsible for the learning?
  5. How would the teacher evaluate what the students learned?

What are the challenges you see in teaching science in each of the scenarios? List them in your portfolio.

In your portfolio, write about which scenario seems to provide the most meaningful science experiences for elementary students. What about for middle grade students? Why?
