For each of the sixteen content standards for economic education, suggest children's literature titles that are not mentioned in the chapter. Books should be appropriate for elementary and middle school readers.

Access the website of the U.S. Census Bureau at http://www.census.gov to examine current economic and social conditions of 2-3 towns in which you may be teaching. Compare and contrast educational levels, median incomes, home values, and other information to create an economic profile of the community in which you plan to teach.

Develop a NCSS standards--linked lesson plan on an economic topic for a grade level of your choice.
