CHAPTER 14 DATA FILES

To complete On the Web #4 on page 452, you need to download CH14eis.xls. It includes several hundred call center transactions (calls to the call center) and includes the following information for each:

• DATE – the date a call came in
• SERVICE REP NUM – the employee who answered the call
• CUSTOMER NUM – the customer who made the call
• CALL LENGTH – the length of the call in minutes
• CALL NATURE – what the call was regarding

To complete Group Activity #2 on page 453, you need to download CH14mis.xls. It includes several hundred real estate transactions and includes the following information for each:

• COUNTY – the county in which the home was built
• BUILDER – the builder of the home
• YEAR – the year in which the house was built
• ASK PRICE – the initial asking price for the home
• SELL PRICE – the final selling price for the home
• DAYS TO SELL – the numbers of days it took to sell the home
