This chapter describes various ways to integrate the World Wide Web into the classroom. Explanations of HTML, Java, and Java scripting are given, along with search engines, their strengths, and strategies for searching. Criteria for selecting Web sites and guidelines for Web page design are presented. The chapter explains what a WebQuest is, and why it is useful for the classroom. A list of helpful Internet sites includes information about search engines, tutorials, lesson plans, activities, and tips.
