Activity 10.7: Perceptions of Politics Scale (POPS)
The source of this scale is: Adapted from K. M. Kacmar, "Further Validation of the Perceptions of Politics Scale (Pops): A Multiple Sample Investigation," Journal of Management, 23 (1997), pp. 627-58.
This self-assessment is designed to help you to assess the degree to which you view your work environment as politically charged. The instrument consists of several statements that might or might not describe the school where you are attending classes. These statements refer to the administration of the school, not the classroom.
Read each statement and indicate the extent to which you personally agree or disagree with the statement. Answer each item as truthfully as possible so that you get an accurate estimate of your perceptions of politics at this school.
