A. Coverage

     Cover a game or a meet on campus. Give yourself 90 minutes to write the story after the game. If no game is available, cover one on television.

B. Professionals

     Some universities are known to send athletes to professional teams. Southern California, Notre Dame and Miami, for example, have sent more than 100 of their football players to the National Football League, and Georgetown, Kentucky and North Carolina graduates have starred for the National Basketball Association.
     Write a feature of 300 words about some of your school's athletes who have gone on to professional sports careers.
