      Muhammed Ali born as Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. on January 17, 1942. He has earned a reputation as a outstanding boxer and a man dedicated to his goals and beliefs. As a teenager, he won a gold medal in boxing at the 1960 Olympic Games, he later earned the title of world heavyweight champion. Ali was a master of public relations which is crucial to finance success in boxing. Soon after beginning his professional career he became active politically and social. He put his Olympic gold medal into a river after he was refused service in a restaurant because of he was black. Ali said that gold medal didn't mean a thing to me if my black brothers and sisters were treated badly in a country I was supposed to representation. Ali has decided about this time to join the Nation of Islam. He took the name Muhammed Ali. Throughout his busy and sometimes controversial public life Ali has remained one of the most famousest and popularest athletes of the twentieth century. An expert showman, he used to calling himself "The Greatest," and many of his fans believe that the nickname fits.
