Room is your way of keeping up to date with some of
the items included in the book: press articles about specific
companies featured in each chapter; the Annual Report and
Accounts of Johnson Matthey plc, reproduced and analysed
in chapters 6 and 7; and accounting standards. Articles
As you have read each chapter of the text, you will have
noticed that they each include at least one press article
featuring real business situations. These are each supported
with a commentary that highlights the practical application
of accounting and finance in the business environment. In

Press Room we have provided a direct link to the on-line
version of each article, and summary updates and commentary
on these stories that enable you to quickly and easily follow
the fortunes of the featured companies. We plan to update
