Pennebaker and Francis (1996) described their experiment in a psychological journal called Cognition and Emotion. The authors' names are listed first (last names and initials only), separated by an ampersand. The year in which the article was published is next (in parentheses). The title of the article is next-note that only the first letter of the first word is capitalized. Next is the name of the journal and the volume number (underlined and separated by commas). The first letters of the major words in the journal title are capitalized. The pages numbers are last, followed by a period.
