6.1 Resources from the National Library of Medicine (NLM)

There is no right way to live with or die from a life-threatening illness. Every disease has its own set of problems and challenges, and each person copes with these problems and challenges in his or her own way. For some people, gathering information from many sources about the disease and its treatment is crucial. The resources from the NLM and the National Institutes of Health cover a wide range of topics. Check the sources posted on this website and pick one to explore further (notice that this site has areas designed for the public, for health care professionals, for researchers, and for librarians). Then respond to the following:

1
List the name and URL of your selection along with a summary of the information that you found in your search.
2
Discuss three things that you have learned about life-threatening illness during your search of this site.
