Objective
  • Talk about French TV programs and daily life

  • Use vocabulary from Chapitre 12 to talk about daily routines

Notes

  • Advise students that the start times for all of the shows are in l’heure officielle. To convert this back to conversational time, they should subtract twelve from times 13 h (1:00 p.m.) and after. You can also refer them to the Chapitre 9 Connexions on page 314 of the textbook.

  • Students will need to know that le journal du soir is the evening news.

Expansion

  • Have students click on jeunesse under Les autres chaines and describe what programs are listed there. They can see how many of these programs they recognize from TV in the U.S. Have them describe in their own words one program that they are not familiar with.
