For your parents or grandparents that might be earning a pension, ask if they have a website on which they can track the fund increases and decreases. Many pension funds allow subscribers to log in and make changes to the way their portfolio is composed.

How much do you know about investing? A good place to start is the Canadian Securities Administrators site at www.securities-administrators.ca/ On the bottom left is a link titled "Take the Financial Fitness Challenge". It is specially designed for young people.
