Women in Prison. Concomitant with the increasing numbers of incarcerated women, the literature has also been expanding. "The Shawshank Redemption." This is an excellent film about prison life and is available on video. A thorough review of the film by James J. Sobel of the State University of New York at Albany can be found in the Journal of Criminal Justice and Popular Culture 4 (1996): 15-17.
The Corrections Connection Network. This is a useful Web site with all types of information and sources in the corrections field, including news and events, bulletin boards, employment and educational opportunities to name but a few. Internet http://www.corrections.com.
