Composición: Proceso y síntesis has been designed for use in advanced Spanish composition courses. Its goal is to help students develop abilities in composition tasks that reflect the kind of writing they are generally asked to perform as Spanish majors and minors. Since the publication of the first edition, interest in the development of functional, purposeful language skills has grown steadily. This revision is a response to this interest, to the findings of writing research, and to the helpful reactions of those who have used this best-selling textbook for more than 20 years.
