Prof. Azhar Kazmi was formerly Professor of Business Administration at the Aligarh Muslim University, and presently is Visiting Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia.

A native of Ajmer, Rajasthan, Prof Kazmi received his mechanical engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, MBA from R.A.Podar Institute of Management, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and Ph.D in management from Kurukshetra University. He has a diploma in training and development and another in distance education.

Prof Kazmi has been teaching MBA students for nearly three decades and has authored more than 50 research papers and articles in Indian and international publications. Articles and research papers written by Prof Kazmi have been published in such journals as Journal of Entrepreneurship, Journal of Enterprising Culture, Malaysian Management Review, Paradigm, South Asian Journal of Management and International Journal of Management Concepts and Philosophy. His article titled "Aligning Management Development with Strategy: Some Recent Experiences of Indian Companies" published in Indian Journal of Training and Development Vol XXX, No.2, Apr - June 2000 got him the best paper award for 2000.

Prof Kazmi serves on the academic boards and committees of several business schools and university management departments and on the editorial advisory boards of several journals in India and abroad. He offers training programmes and consultancy for industrial organsations and government institutions.
