World Climate Regions
Of the world's most physical geographic feature, climate, (long-term average of such weather condtions as temperature and precipitation) is the most important. It is climate that condtions the types of natural vegetation patterns and the types of soil that will exist in an area. It is also climate that determines the availability of our most precious resource: water. From an economic standpoint, the world's most important activity is agriculture; no other element of physicial geography is more important for agriculture than climates.
