3		What things did your doctor tell you to do to stay healthy during the pregnancy?
4		Did you go to a class or meet with a doctor or nurse to find out more about what would happen and how to handle it during the actual birth?
5		What kinds of options did your doctor give you related to the birth (e.g., to have or not have drugs; birthing chair; home delivery)?
6		Describe the sequence of events that happened when the baby was born.
7		How soon after the birth did you see and hold the baby? How often did you have the baby in the room with you? How long did you stay in the hospital?

QUESTIONS FOR FATHERS

8		Did you go to any of the doctor appointments with the mother? How many?
9		What special things did you do ahead of time to prepare for the baby?
10		Did you change your usual routine (foods, outings, sleep patterns) during the pregnancy?
11		Did you go to a class or meet with a doctor or nurse to find out more about what would happen and how to handle it during the actual birth?
12		Were you present during the birth of the baby? If so, what did you do? If not, what did you do?
13		How soon after the birth did you see and hold the baby? How often did you get to stay with the baby and mother?
