The purpose of this chapter is to provide teachers with a variety of activities for developing a democratic classroom. The role of the teacher is essential in creating a democratic classroom in which the teacher and students have opportunities to practice the responsibilities of a citizen. This chapter also provides a variety of resources such as children's literature and websites for teaching character education.
