Have students create a unique character with a simple SI measurement topic. Themes might include an octopus in water (volume), an elephant in a strong-elephant contest (mass), an inchworm in a metric world (length), or a hotheaded fire ant (temperature). Have students design a problem situation for their character, and then solve it using SI measurements. Ask students to create a small story book to illustrate their science knowledge through literature. Rubric:
