William J
Stevenson
is an associate
professor of decision sciences in the College of Business at the Rochester
Institute of Technology. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in
production and operations management, management science, quality concepts, and
quality applications. He is the author of textbooks in management science,
statistics, and production and operations management. His articles have appeared
in Management Science and Decision Sciences. He also serves as a consultant to
the New York State Regents External Degree program. His current research
interests are in quality applications. Dr. Stevenson received a bachelor’s
degree in industrial engineering, and an MBA and a PhD in production and
operations management from Syracuse University. Sum Chee
Chuong is an associate
professor at the Department of Decision Sciences, NUS Business School, National
University of Singapore (NUS). He has a BEng (Hons) degree from NUS and holds a
PhD in operations management from the University of Minnesota. A former director
of professional education at the Logistics Institute—Asia Pacific, he is
currently the academic director of the S3 Asia MBA program. He
received several teaching awards such as the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence
Award in 2010, 2008, and 2007. He was the recipient of the Faculty Outstanding
Educator Award in 2009 and 2006, and he is now on the Annual Teaching Excellence
Award Honour Roll for sustained excellence in teaching. Dr. Sum is an active
consultant and executive trainer, and has worked with both private and public
organizations. His current research interests are in the development of
operations and supply chain capabilities, operations strategy, global operations
management, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). His research has appeared in
leading international journals such as Journal of Operations Management,
Decision Sciences, IIE (Trans), European Journal of Operational Research, and
Omega. |
