PLEASANTON—Growers in the area conservancy district approved by a two-to-one majority opposition to proposed crop controls.

Ralph Barnton, a Vidalia farmer, said the limits were "set too low. Alot of us consider the limits will put us below the break-even point."

The growers will send their opposition to the state's congressional delegation, Barnton said.
