Grading Speech AssignmentsOnce your students have submitted their speech assignment, the section home page will display a flagged message stating how many speech assignments are ready for manual grading.

- Click the responses to grade link next to an assignment to begin the manual grading process.
- The first speech assignment video submission appears with the student’s title, description and a link to related documents. Click Play to review the assignment.

- After reviewing the presentation, enter a score (1) and click save score. Connect will provide a confirmation message that the score was saved.
- If you want to add a private comment back to the student, enter it into the comment field (2) and click save comment. A confirmation message will appear indicating your comment was saved.

This comment can only be seen by the student who submitted the assignment. - To add a public comment the rest of the students in your section can see, add it in the lower comments field (3). These comments are public and can be seen by all students in your section.
- Within the player you can add a time stamped comment by clicking the green plus sign above the video slider (1.0K) . This allows you to critique the video with comments at specific times within the video.
- Select Add comment. You can optionally add a Video Comment or Tag. Video comments link to

- Enter your comment and click OKAY.

- Your comment will appear as a dot on the video slider. Rolling over it will display your comment.

- Clicking the blue arrow button will expand the comment view and provide additional information and the ability to reply or add an additional comment at this point.

- Once you have reviewed, scored and added any optional comments, click next video to grade the next speech assignment submission or click exit to return to the manual grading to-do list.
