     Handle this assignment with the technique of unobtrusive observation. (See Chapter 12 in the textbook for a definition and examples.) Visit a high school cafeteria or a luncheonette where students eat or visit a student hangout. Report verbatim what students are talking about, what subjects occupy them. Write the story precisely as you heard it. Discuss in class whether you can use some of the language and subject matter for the local newspaper or radio station.
