Pronoun Form

Definition: Pronouns can be used as subjects, as objects, or as modifiers in possessive forms. These uses correspond to three cases: subjective (the subjective form), objective (the objective form), and possessive (possessive modifier form).

  1. Subjective: singular ("I," "you," "he," "she," "it"); plural ("we," "you," "they").
  2. Objective: singular ("me," "you," "him," "her," "it"); plural ("us," "you," "them").
  3. Possessive: singular ("my," "mine," "your," "yours," "his," "her," "hers," "its"); plural ("our," "ours," "you," "yours," "their," "theirs").
