Exercises: Material is provided for a news story. When you have finished the story you can check to see how your work compares with the model story.
CAR: Computer-assisted-reporting assignments. Several sample demonstrations are included as guides to help you with this work.
Fix-It: Newspaper and broadcast errors are to be corrected. When you have done the work, you can check your editing.
What's Wrong?: You are to identify the problem, which may be a missing an essential element, lack of balance, libel, etc. Check your comment with the supplied suggestions.
You Decide: Situations that require decisions, many in the area of ethics. Compare your decisions with those supplied.
Many of the exercises are based on activities in our hometown, Freeport. A Directory, Cross Directory, Source List, and a Freeport City Map are included. Make sure you use these to identify and locate people in your stories.

Click on each link once to expand the menu, and once to close it. Once you have found the reading or exercise you are interested in, select it by clicking once on the link, and the material will appear on the right side of your screen.
