Endorsements
(See related pages)

For the op-ed page of your local newspaper you are assigned to write an article of 250-350 words on the "editorial endorsements of newspapers since 1932 in the presidential race." Your editor tells you, "I've been getting a lot of mail about how liberal the press is, but I think the endorsements in presidential races have been heavily Republican. In fact, I recall reading in Editor & Publisher that at one election, 9 of 10 newspapers endorsed the Republican candidate. Just write a straight story with the figures."
