Feeds
(also called "RSS feeds") are a way for many different publications
and blogs to easily share their latest content with their readers. Use the
feeds widget to add your own feeds and have the latest content and links appear

window to find and copy the feeds. Then switch to the browser window containing
Connect to paste the feed address. - From the section home page, click the options icon (0.0K) in
the top right corner of the feeds widget. The feeds window appears.
(8.0K) - In a separate browser window find the feed you want to add.
- Right-click (Control-click for Mac) the feed icon or link on the feed you
want to add.
- Copy the feed link address.
- Paste the feed address into the Connect feed address field.
- Click continue.

If Connect can read your feed, the name and a preview are displayed. - Optionally modify the name and set the number of posts to be displayed
in the feeds widget.
- By default this feed will appear on all sections of this course that have
the feeds widget enabled. Uncheck the option at the bottom of the feeds window
if you do not want this feed applied to all sections in this course.
- Click save. You are presented with a confirmation message
that the bookmark was added.
- Click close. Your feeds now appear in the feeds widget.
Edit / Delete Feeds- Click the options icon (0.0K) in
the top right corner of the feeds widget. The feeds window appears.
- Click edit feeds to view the current feeds list.
(5.0K) - From the edit feeds tab, you can:
- Click the feed name to view it in a new browser window.
- Click the edit icon to update the feed name or web address.
Click save to save your changes. - Click the trash can icon to remove the feed.
- When you are finished click close window to return to
the section home page.
Hide FeedsTo hide the feeds widget from students in this section, click the visible
icon (0.0K) .
The icon changes to the invisible icon (0.0K) indicating
this widget is not visible to students in this section. Click the invisible
icon to make this widget visible. |
